Decanter Centrifuge
Decanter centrifuges are widely used as sludge dewatering equipment and liquid-solid separators at municipal wastewater treatment plants, industrial wastewater plants, and in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and brewing industries. These decanter centrifuges provide continuous solid-liquid separation of suspensions and sludge dewatering, which can be combined with sludge feed pumps and flocculant dosing units to form a continuous mechanical dewatering system.
The sludge dewatering centrifuge utilizes a horizontal solid-bowl design with scroll discharge. Material enters the rotating bowl, where centrifugal force settles the denser solids against the bowl wall. The scroll conveys the solids continuously to the solids discharge port, and the separated liquid leaves through the overflow outlet at the other end.
