Fine Bubble Disc Diffuser

Fine Bubble Disc Diffuser

Fine bubble disc diffusers are used in fine-bubble aeration systems for municipal sewage, domestic sewage, and industrial wastewater treatment systems, including the pharmaceutical, food, pulp and paper, dyeing and printing, brewing, textile, chemical, and tannery industries. They provide aeration and oxygen transfer across municipal WWTP aeration tanks, secondary biological basins, equalization tanks, nitrification tanks, and aerobic biological treatment for industrial effluent.

Each membrane disc diffuser has a flat support structure and a microporous rubber membrane. Air enters the diffuser and disperses through the micropores in the membrane forming into fine bubbles that are released into the water, increasing the gas-liquid contact area and supplying the oxygen needed for biochemical treatment. The disc diffuser system can be arranged according to tank dimensions, airflow demand, and oxygen-transfer requirements.

Features
  • The presence of a rubber membrane with an expansion compensation structure that reduces localized stress on the membrane during operation
  • Non-porous thickened membrane center that covers the air inlet when the air supply stops, under water pressure and the membrane's own elasticity, reducing the risk of wastewater backflow
  • Membrane in EPDM, and silicone rubber to suit different wastewater environments
  • Sealed connection between membrane and support plate that reduces the risk of membrane displacement or detachment during operation
  • Number and layout designed based on the aeration tank size, design airflow, and oxygen transfer requirements
