Activated Carbon Pressure Filters

Activated Carbon Pressure Filters

Activated carbon pressure filters, also used as GAC pressure filters, granular activated carbon filters, or carbon adsorption vessels, are utilized in water supply treatment, advanced wastewater treatment, reclaimed water reuse, and RO pretreatment. The carbon bed removes residual chlorine, organics, color, odor, colloids, and some heavy metal ions, reduces COD, and improves feedwater for downstream RO or ion exchange systems. Free-chlorine dechlorination protects RO membranes from oxidative degradation, while adsorption also provides organic polishing, as well as odor and color removal.
